Job Summary:
At Sterling Specialty Chemical’s Sand Springs facility, we specialize in the production of a diverse range of oilfield chemicals, including but not limited to biocides, corrosion inhibitors, and surfactants. Our operations are dynamic, encompassing batch, continuous, and semi-continuous processes to meet the industry’s demands. The prospective candidate will be an integral part of our maintenance team, directly reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Embracing our ‘One-Team’ ethos, all Sterling personnel contribute to various projects, aligning with the strategic directives of our plant leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution.• Complete repairs and replacements of defective or worn-out parts
• Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
• Optimize equipment performance through adjustments and calibration.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and enhance equipment functionality.
• Provide training and guidance to other maintenance team members and operators when needed.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, welding, and general maintenance knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Skills and Qualifications:
• Mechanical knowledge of pumps etc.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, such as demonstrated job capability, related training, apprenticeships, and prior work experience.
• Understand Leadership and know how to motivate and inspire.
• Basic SAP skills as well as Microsoft office
• Basic spreadsheet capabilities for tracking metrics• Communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic ability in reading schematics
Work Schedule:
• 8-hour day shift
• Willing to work on-call and overtime as needed, including holidays
